THIS YEAR'S PRODUCTION WILL BE:
After a week of intensive rehearsals, eighteen performers from ages twelve to nineteen performed The Mikado for an adoring public at the Moorings Presbyterian Church.
The project was created and directed by International Youth Gilbert & Sullivan Director, Pamela Leighton-Bilik. A former Disney ‘ Teacher of the Year ‘ nominee, Ms. Leighton-Bilik was a recent nominee for the Lockheed-Martin Award for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities and is included in the 2005-2006 edition of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Ms. Leighton-Bilik is Founder and Artistic Director of The G & S Youth Players of Washington and former Director of Education for the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in the UK.

The G&S Youth Players, under the direction of Pamela Leighton-Bilik, performs annually at the summer Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, DC. Tentatively, the company will give three performances of The Pirates of Penzance around July 20.
